ITIL Deviation Report
The Deviation Report is a sub-component of the Evaluation Report that is completed as a final activity of the Evaluation Management process.
ITIL version 3 defines Evaluation Management as a process to assess whether an change to service will be acceptable.
The deviation report outlines the differences between the expected or predicted performance against the actual performance.
The report is categorized against a number of evaluation variables including the capability of the service provider, the service warranty (fit for use), the service purpose (fit for purpose), the effect on people and the required resources.
