ITIL Service Design
ITIL Service Design is one of the five (5) core references from the new version of ITIL. Version 3 of the ITIL Framework is a complete redesign of the framework, along a "lifecycle" philosophy.
Following the Service Strategy in the lifecycle, ITIL Service Design has five key componenets:
Design of systems according to enable delivery of the Service Strategy
Design of the Service Portfolio, including the Service Pipeline
Design of the technology architecture required to deliver services
Design of the processes necessary for the implementation, operation and management of the services.
Design of measurements systems.
