ITIL Continual Service Improvement
ITIL Continual Service Improvement is one of the five (5) core references from the new version of ITIL. Version 3 of the ITIL Framework is a complete redesign of the framework, along a "lifecycle" philosophy.
A crucial element of a lifecycle approach is the perpetual search for improvements in service provision to the organization. This is the purpose for ITIL Continual Service Improvement. Continual alignment of the Service Portfolio for current and future business requirements.
ITIL Continual Service Improvement should not however be thought of as an activity at the end of a period of change. This element has a coverage across all the other IITL v3 resources; that is, ITIL Continual Service Improvement is a requirement for each stage of the service lifecycle.
