AS 8015The Australian Standard (AS) for Corporate Governance of Information and Communication Technology (AS 8015-2005) defines 'official' guidelines that Australian companies will follow if they are looking to introduce effective governance in their IT departments. AS 8015 defines processes, terms/definitions (vocabulary) and an overall model.
AS 8015 also lists some guiding principles. These can be summarized as follows: Establish clear responsibilitiesPlan IT in a way that will provide optimal support to the organization Use valid process to acquire IT Seek optimal performance in IT systems Seek conformance with appropriate rules Take human factors into consideration |
