ITIL Qualification Statement

ITIL version 3 defines Evaluation Management as a process to assess whether an change to service will be acceptable.

The ITIL Qualification Statement is used for particular industries as proof that a change to a service does not adversely affect the quality or other standards of that service.

Particular industries have stringent requirements placed on them in terms of the quality requirements of their products and services. Examples include health, defence and even financial institutions and government agencies.

A change to a service that could affect an individual from a safety or health perspective or that could potentially expose confidential information has to be qualified.

The ITIL Qualification Statement will be an auditable element of the evaluation report and will need to be signed off by a suitably qualified representative.
