Evaluation Report Risk Profile
The Evaluation Report Risk Profile is a statement regarding the residual risk that remains after a service has been changed.
ITIL version 3 defines Evaluation Management as a process to assess whether an change to service will be acceptable.
Any change has an element of risk associated with it. Even after a successful change there are new and/or changed risks with regard to the delivery of services to customers.
The risk profile, which is a component of the evaluation report discusses the new and/or changed risks. There is risk in every element of change. The risk profile allows a clearer understanding of these risks and it can even serve as a trigger to review other areas (e.g. Service Continuity Strategy may need to be reviewed if the risk delta is significant enough).
